Happy Resurrection day. We continued our celebration of Christ after service with lunch and cake in the Family Room. It was the perfect opportunity to speak with others, find out what Jesus has meant to them and share how He has blessed our lives.

We invited everyone to show their NFL team spirit, kick-off Super Bowl Sunday and say farewell to the 2008 NFL Season by wearing their favorite team gear. We also distributed prizes to our Football Trivia Winners, Kathleen Armstead and Ricky Sherer.

There was no better way to ring in the New Year then with our Berith Family at the New Year’s Eve Celebration. The evening included a special song by our Praise & Worship Team, food, Family Fuse and Pictionary, prizes, and lots of laughs. Also, Pastor asked us to write a letter to the Lord about what we wanted to see in 2009. The letters will be mailed back to us this year so we can see how God is working in our lives.

All we can say is that you should have been there. An awesome evening where we came together to Celebrate Pastor Rick's Surprise Birthday. Even though we put the spotlight on Pastor Rick reaching 40 years young, the emphasis was clearly focused on the power of God to transform a life. Our family alternative to the Halloween tradition this year was a Hip Hop Hallelujah Fest! It was an awesome evening that included live performances by Devan Anderson and Young Fiyah. We had a costume contest for ages 2-13, arts & crafts and the children played on the slide and swings. We served carnival type food, beverages, desserts, and other tasty snacks that were enjoyed by all.
