Rick Sherer was born and raised in the Bay Area. After graduating from Mountain View High School, he attended the Universities of California at Davis and Irvine, where he met his wife Rhyon.

Recognizing God’s call on his life, he formally trained for ministry at Crenshaw Christian Center’s Ministry Training Institute under the direction of Dr. Frederick K.C. Price. In 1997, his Pastor, Robert L. Wilks, Jr., the founding pastor of Vine-Life Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA, licensed and ordained Rick for the purpose of carrying out the vision God placed in his heart.

Having come to God as an adult, Pastor Rick closely identifies with many who are skeptical and curious. This allows him to share practical messages from the Bible with understanding and sincerity. This is resulting in people's lives being changed from the inside out!
